Multi-Sector Comment on Department of Labor’s Wage Interim Final Rule

Compete America along with nearly two dozen major American trade groups, business coalitions, and scientific professional societies, filed comments regarding the Department of Labor’s interim final rule requiring US employers to pay foreign employees significantly more than American employees doing the same job. Compete America supports wage reforms that protect US workers while maintaining the viability of America’s fastest growing and highest paying STEM industries. The DOL rule, far from protecting US workers, “throws the baby out with the bath water” and will lead to a significant loss of jobs and productivity in the US economy.
